Clinical Faculty Academy Registration

The Clinical Faculty Academy is a two-day conference designed to help prepare registered nurses for their important roles as clinical instructors in area nursing programs. The Academy was created through a collaborative effort between nursing schools and hospitals in the Kansas City metropolitan area. There is no fee to participate in the Academy.

What Will I Gain?
As a clinical educator, you can help train the next generation of nurses. Through the Clinical Faculty Academy, you will gain the following.

  • knowledge and skills essential for success in an adjunct clinical faculty role
  • a support network for adjunct clinical educators
  • stronger connections between clinical practice sites and academic environments

Commitment
If you are a hospital nurse who wants to teach and your hospital does not already have an established relationship with a school in which you can teach, please contact Kathy Nadlman. Clinical educators who teach in BSN programs and do not already have their MSN degree are expected to begin or continue their MSN coursework.
